TL;DR

More than 70 crocodiles escaped from a commercial farm in Maoming, Guangdong, after heavy flooding caused a local lake to overflow. Authorities launched a rescue operation to recapture the reptiles, with some residents warned to stay indoors. The depth of the floodwater posed a challenge to the operation, and authorities may have to euthanize the crocodiles. Crocodile farming is popular in Guangdong due to its warmer climate.
