Surprising Discovery: Over 1,000 Species Uncovered in Residential Backyard

Biodiversity researchers in Australia conducted a year-long study during the COVID-19 lockdown to determine the number of species living in their house and yard. They expected to find around 200-300 species but were surprised to discover a total of 1,150 species, including some that had never been documented in Australia's biodiversity database.
