Tragic Fate: Endangered Whale Dies After Beach Encounter

A sperm whale that became stranded on a sandbank at a popular beach near Perth, Western Australia has died. The 15-meter long whale had interacted with swimmers over the weekend, which may have increased its stress. The whale swam out to sea but was found stranded on a sandbar on Monday, in poor health and unlikely to survive. Authorities had considered euthanizing the whale before it was found dead. The carcass will be moved to a more secure location in the water, away from the beach.
