Vietnam experiences record-breaking heat wave with temperature reaching 44.1C

Vietnam has recorded its highest-ever temperature of 44.1C, breaking the 2019 record of 43.4C. Experts have warned that global warming is exacerbating adverse weather conditions. Neighbouring countries have also experienced record temperatures during a heatwave in Asia. Officials have urged people to stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day and have asked for cooperation from the industry and electricity ministries to deal with the heat, possible drought, and lack of water.
