A Telegram channel used by over 3,000 UNRWA teachers in Gaza was found to contain posts celebrating Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel, praising the terrorists involved as "heroes" and sharing content inciting "Jihadi terrorism." The channel also allegedly contained personal information of staff members. This is not the first time troubling reports regarding UNRWA have emerged, with previous accusations of teachers publicly celebrating the attack. The Trump administration cut ties with UNRWA in 2018, but President Biden reestablished the relationship in 2021, providing an estimated $1 billion in funding.
