An Iranian military advisor was killed in an alleged Israeli airstrike in Damascus, Syria, escalating tensions between Tehran-backed forces and the US and Israel. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG) threatened to avenge the advisor's death. The strikes targeted an arms depot and Iranian-backed groups just south of the capital city.
