Belarus at Risk of Becoming a Nuclear Battleground, Warns Lukashenko.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said Russia could station intercontinental nuclear missiles in Belarus if necessary, in addition to the tactical nuclear weapons already planned. Lukashenko claimed the move would help protect Belarus from the West, which he said was threatening the country. He also alleged plans to invade Belarus from neighbouring Poland, a member of the Western NATO alliance. The UN Security Council met to discuss Putin's plans, with the US accusing Russia of escalating dangerous and destabilising behaviour. Lukashenko also called for an immediate, unconditional ceasefire in the Ukraine war.
