Blinken Holds Meetings with Palestinian Leader and Jordanian King in Amman

Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman to discuss the fallout from Hamas' attack on Israel, particularly in the occupied West Bank. Blinken also met with Jordan's King Abdullah II to discuss efforts to secure the release of hostages and prevent the conflict from escalating. The meetings come as Blinken continues his diplomatic efforts in the region, including visits to Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Qatar.
