China Reaffirms Impartial Stance on Ukraine to Russia

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi assured his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov that China will maintain an independent and impartial stance on the Ukraine issue, aiming to find a political settlement. China stated that it will be an objective and rational voice in international multilateral forums and actively promote peace talks. This comes after China's participation in international talks in Saudi Arabia, which aimed to consolidate international consensus on resolving the Ukraine crisis. China has refrained from condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine and has proposed its own peace plan, receiving mixed responses from Russia, Ukraine, the US, and NATO.
