Egypt Denies Allegations of Covertly Supplying Rockets to Russia

Leaked Pentagon documents obtained by The Washington Post reveal that Egypt planned to secretly provide rockets, artillery, and gunpowder to Russia to support its forces in Ukraine while keeping the arms deal secret from western allies. The documents also say that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ordered 40,000 rockets to be produced and covertly shipped to Russia. The US has not seen evidence that Egypt followed through on those plans, and a senior Egyptian official denied the plan to provide rockets to Russia. The Pentagon is currently reviewing the leaked documents for accuracy, and the Justice Department is overseeing a criminal investigation of the leak.
