France to Provide Military Equipment to Armenia

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna has announced that France has agreed to deliver military equipment to Armenia to help ensure its defense. The decision comes after Azerbaijani forces recently took control of the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh. France, which has a large Armenian diaspora, has traditionally played a role in mediating the territorial dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Colonna also visited burn victims in Yerevan and promised continued support from France.
