Georgian Authorities Intercept Explosives En Route from Ukraine to Russia

Georgian security officials intercepted military-grade explosives allegedly sent from Ukraine and intended for transportation to the Russian city of Voronezh, following a similar route as a previous incident targeting the Crimean Bridge. The explosives, hidden inside electric car batteries, were replaced with replicas by the State Security Service, leading to accusations against several individuals, including a Georgian-born Ukrainian parliamentary deputy. Tbilisi's increased cooperation with Moscow has strained its ties with Kyiv, despite Russian forces being stationed in Georgia's breakaway territories since 2008.
