Germany pledges more military aid to Ukraine amidst concerns over US presidential race.

Germany has announced its largest weapons package yet for Ukraine, totaling nearly $3 billion in arms, making Germany the second-largest military aid supplier to Ukraine, behind the United States. French President Emanuel Macron has also pledged additional military aid for Ukraine, including light tanks, armored vehicles, training for soldiers, and other assistance. Meanwhile, four Russian aircraft were reportedly shot down over Russia's Bryansk region, and the U.S.-made Patriot air defense system shot down a Russian hypersonic missile over Kyiv. Russian officials said they believe Ukraine's long-anticipated counteroffensive operations have already begun.
