Global Survey Reveals Positive Views of India and Divided Perception of Modi

A new survey conducted by the Pew Research Center across 23 countries reveals that views of India are generally positive, with a median of 46% of adults holding a favorable view. However, opinions on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are more mixed, with a 37% median expressing confidence in him. Indians themselves believe their country's global influence is on the rise, with around seven-in-ten believing India has become more influential. European attitudes towards India have turned more negative over time, while Indians stand out for their favorable views of Russia and unfavorable views of China. Additionally, negative attitudes towards Pakistan persist in India.
