Senate Bipartisan Bloc Urges Trump to Revoke Putin’s G20 Invitation
A bipartisan group of 14 senators has urged President Donald Trump to rescind his invitation for Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Miami in December. The senators argue that hosting Putin legitimizes his government and undermines pressure for a ceasefire in Ukraine. While the White House has not responded, the Kremlin has not yet accepted the invitation, and European allies have criticized the move as normalizing aggression.
