International Division: EU Nations, US, and India Take Different Stances on UN Gaza Ceasefire Resolution

Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Croatia were among the 14 countries that voted against a UN resolution for a humanitarian cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, while 120 countries voted in favor. The resolution, which called for an end to hostilities, was brought by Jordan and co-sponsored by nearly 50 countries. Israel and the US were also among those opposing the resolution. The Gaza Strip has been facing a dire humanitarian situation, with thousands of Palestinians killed and shortages of food, water, and medicine due to Israel's blockade.
