International Pressure Mounts as Europe and UK Take Action Against China and Russia's Involvement in Ukraine

The UK and European Union have put pressure on China to stop aiding Russian President Vladimir Putin's war efforts in Ukraine. The UK sanctioned 46 companies and individuals, including three Hong Kong-registered firms, for supplying Russia's military. The G7 leaders called on China to press Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine and support a peaceful resolution. European Council chief Charles Michel requested China to address 13 companies involved in supplying Russia with dual-use goods, warning that the EU may name the firms if no action is taken. China has criticized the UK's actions, calling them a violation of international law and damaging to Chinese companies' rights and interests.
