Iranian boats harass commercial ship in Strait of Hormuz, US and UK navies respond.

The US Navy and the UK Royal Navy came to the aid of a merchant ship in the Strait of Hormuz after it was "harassed" by three fast-attack vessels belonging to Iran's Revolutionary Guard. The incident was captured on camera by a US Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon. The Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier Venture was believed to be the ship involved. The Strait of Hormuz sees 20% of the world's oil pass through it. This latest incident comes after a series of maritime incidents involving Iran following the US unilaterally withdrawing from Tehran's nuclear deal with world powers in 2018.
