Israeli Ambassador Protests UN Meeting on Memorial Day, Calls it a Disgrace to Fallen Soldiers.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, walked out of a Security Council meeting and criticized the organization for holding a debate on Israel's Memorial Day, despite requests to reschedule. Erdan called the UN biased and accused it of hearing "blatant lies" about Israel. He proceeded to read the names of those who have fallen this year before dedicating his speech to their memory. Erdan had previously sent a letter requesting the debate be rescheduled on any other day except April 25 or Israel's Independence Day on April 26.
