Jordan Accuses Israel of Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza

Jordan's foreign minister, Ayman Safadi, accused Israel of implementing a policy to expel Palestinians from Gaza, describing it as meeting the "legal definition of genocide." Israel rejected the allegations, stating that it is fighting to defend itself from Hamas militants responsible for a cross-border killing and kidnapping spree. Safadi argued that Israel's destruction of Hamas was contradicted by the extent of destruction among Gaza civilians, accusing Israel of committing war crimes. The United Nations and several member states have rejected the forcible displacement of Gazans, but there are concerns that Israel may be pushing Palestinians towards neighboring Egypt.
