Jordan Rejects Energy and Water Deal with Israel Amidst Rising Tensions

Jordan's Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, announced that Jordan will not sign a planned energy-for-water deal with Israel, citing the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas as a reason. Safadi stated that Jordan's focus is on ending what he called Israel's "retaliatory barbarism" in Gaza, and that entering into a dialogue about Gaza's governance at this time could be seen as giving Israel a green light to act as it pleases.
