Poland Bolsters Eastern Border Amid Wagner Concerns

Poland has begun deploying over 1,000 troops to its eastern border in response to concerns over the presence of Wagner Group fighters in Belarus. The move comes as NATO members in the region fear that the mercenaries' presence could escalate tensions. Poland has also sent 500 police officers to reinforce security at the border, which has seen an increase in attempted illegal crossings. The country accuses Belarus of artificially creating a migrant crisis by flying in people from the Middle East and Africa and attempting to push them across the frontier.
