Russia Proposes Three-Way Drills with North Korea and China, Says Seoul's Spy Agency

South Korea's top spy agency has revealed that Russia likely proposed including North Korea in three-way naval exercises with China. The suggestion was reportedly made by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in July. Amid escalating nuclear tensions with the US, South Korea, and Japan, Kim Jong Un has been seeking to strengthen partnerships with Moscow and Beijing to form a united front against the United States. The briefing also highlighted North Korea's reliance on tactical nuclear systems and its aim for swift victory in the event of war.
