Russia's Wagner Group Facilitates Weapon Transfer to Hezbollah Amid Israel Clashes, US Intelligence Reveals

US intelligence suggests that Russia's Wagner mercenary group is preparing to deliver the SA-22 advanced air defense missile system to Hezbollah, as the Lebanese militia group clashes with Israel. The SA-22, also known as Pantsir-S1, is a Russian-made truck-mounted surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system. While the weapon has not yet been delivered, Hezbollah fighters are allegedly in contact with Wagner personnel stationed in Syria. It remains unclear if the weapon could be transported to Gaza to aid Hamas in countering Israel's airstrikes. The US has stationed an aircraft carrier in the Eastern Mediterranean as a deterrent, and Israel has warned of a full-scale military assault against Iran if Hezbollah joins the ongoing conflict.
