Saudi Crown Prince MBS Warns of Nuclear Arms Race with Iran

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has warned that if Iran obtains a nuclear weapon, Saudi Arabia will seek to acquire one as well, citing concerns about the possibility of a nuclear Iran. He argued that if Iran were to use a nuclear weapon, it would find itself at war with the rest of the world. Despite calling the development of nuclear weapons a "useless effort," Salman stated that his country would pursue nuclear weapons for security reasons and to balance power in the Middle East if Iran acquires one. He also mentioned that Saudi Arabia is getting closer to a deal with Israel to normalize relations between the two nations, and addressed the issue of journalist Jamal Khashoggi's killing, stating that anyone involved is serving time in prison and must face the law.
