Taiwan reports 37 Chinese military planes in air defence zone.

Taiwan activated its defence systems after detecting 37 Chinese military aircraft, including fighters and bombers, flying into the island's air defence identification zone. Some of the Chinese planes flew into the western Pacific for "air surveillance and long distance navigation training". Taiwan sent its own aircraft and ships to keep watch and activated land-based missile systems. China did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
