Tensions Rise as Iran Conducts Air Force Drill and US Bolsters Plane Fleet in Persian Gulf

Iran has launched an annual air force drill, involving 11 air bases and over 90 fighter planes, bombers, and drones, in the central part of the country. The drill, named Fadaeian Velyat-11, aims to demonstrate Iran's military capabilities and promote friendship, peace, and security in the region. Meanwhile, the US is beefing up its plane fleet in the Persian Gulf and sending additional fighter jets and a warship to the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman to deter Iran from seizing commercial vessels. The US Navy accuses Iran of seizing at least five commercial vessels in the past two years and harassing several others.
