Turkey's Warning to Israel: Consequences of Targeting Hamas

Turkish President Erdogan warns Israel that it will face severe consequences if it expands its war on Hamas to assassinate militant leaders living outside of Gaza, such as in Turkey. Israel has previously refrained from pursuing Hamas leaders in other countries to avoid diplomatic issues, but has recently stated that no place will be safe for them. Erdogan states that Israel will find Turkish intelligence and security agencies a powerful adversary and will be doomed to pay a price they cannot recover from. Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry reports that the Palestinian death toll has surpassed 16,200, with 70% of the dead being women and children. Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza is facing critical shortages of fuel and medical supplies, putting the lives of patients at risk. Additionally, almost 1.9 million people, or 85% of the Gaza Strip population, have been forced from their homes since the war began two months ago. The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees calls for an urgent cessation of hostilities and the release of all hostages.
