The Ukraine Defense Contact Group, a monthly gathering of defense chiefs from over 40 nations, has become a central force in equipping the Ukrainian military with everything from precision rockets to main battle tanks. However, tensions have emerged over whether and when to send Western fighter jets to Ukraine, delays in certain weapons shipments, and the issue of NATO allies reequipping themselves as well as sustaining the weapons donated to Ukraine for the long haul. Despite these emerging fissures, donations continue to flow over the border to Kyiv, and there has been no change in the rhetoric of sticking with Ukraine for the long haul.
