"Xi Jinping's Diplomatic Challenges in Russia and Beyond"

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Moscow for their 40th meeting, with the aim of ending the fighting in Ukraine. However, the meeting was seen as a show of unity against the United States, with both leaders sharing a common purpose of weakening the US or at least checking American ambitions in their respective spheres of influence. China and Russia are both friend and foe, united by a "marriage of convenience" to rival Washington. The summit resulted in 14 agreements, including a new pipeline and increased trade, which are highly favorable to China.
