Zelensky Appoints Ex-Army Chief Zaluzhny as Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK

Zaluzhnyi, widely respected among Ukrainian troops, is credited with stalling Russia’s invasion and pushing back Moscow’s troops. The move comes amid tensions between Zaluzhnyi and the president after Ukraine's 2023 counteroffensive failed to make major territorial gains. The UK has been a strong ally of Ukraine in the war and has committed significant military support, including providing 10,000 attack drones and an investment of 125 million pounds for additional support.
