Zelenskyy set to join G7 summit.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Arab League leaders, asking them to work with Ukraine directly without intermediaries and presenting a 10-point peace plan. Zelenskyy also met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and is expected to attend the G7 leaders' summit in Japan. Meanwhile, the G7 leaders announced they had ensured Ukraine had the budget support it needs for this year and early 2024. The US and UK also announced fresh sanctions against Russia over its war in Ukraine. The Pentagon has acknowledged overestimating the value of the weapons it had sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion. Air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine early Friday, and some regions reported explosions.
