Finland Implements Full Border Closure with Russia Amid Migrant Worries

Finland has announced the closure of its last remaining border crossing with Russia, accusing Moscow of using migrants as part of "hybrid warfare" to destabilize the country following its entry into NATO. The Finnish government has already closed seven of the eight checkpoints on its border with Russia due to a surge in arrivals of migrants from the Middle East and Africa. The closure is expected to last for at least two weeks, and migrants arriving from Russia will only be able to seek asylum at Finnish airports or harbors, although there is currently no air or passenger boat traffic between the two countries. The Kremlin denies encouraging migrants to enter Finland and regrets the border closures.
