Russia's elite special forces, Spetsnaz, suffered up to a 95% casualty rate during the Ukraine war due to over-reliance on them in front-line infantry formations, according to leaked Pentagon documents. It may take up to a decade for Moscow to replenish the critically depleted special forces units.
