NATO and US Forces Participate in Black Sea Military Exercises Led by Romania.

Romania's navy led multinational military drills in the Black Sea region that brought together U.S. and NATO troops as part of a series of drills known as Sea Shield 2023. The exercises involve some 3,400 military personnel from 12 NATO member countries and some partner nations and aim to boost security on NATO's southeastern flank amid Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine. The drills involve sea and air exercises and will run until April 2.
