"US Navy's Battle Against Houthi Drones: Updates and Aces"
TL;DR
US Marine Corps Captain Earl Ehrhart V, flying an AV-8B Harrier, has shot down seven Houthi drones, potentially making him the first American ace since the Vietnam War. Operating in the Red Sea, his squadron plays a crucial role in deterring Houthi aggression and safeguarding maritime traffic. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, to which Captain Ehrhart is attached, has been deployed to monitor the coast of Gaza following Hamas attacks on Israel. The unit has adapted Harrier jets for air defense against Houthi drone attacks, with Captain Ehrhart's success highlighting the effectiveness of Marine aviation in countering emerging threats.
