Insights from Gaza: A Pollster's Perspective

Amaney Jamal, dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and co-founder of Arab Barometer, conducted a survey of public opinion in Gaza on October 6, the day before Hamas's attacks in Israel. The results show that while the people of Gaza have diverse beliefs, Hamas was not very popular. It is important to recognize that not all Gazans support Hamas, and Israeli political leaders should not accuse all Gazans of the same.
