Czech President Advocates Monitoring Russians Living Abroad

Czech President Petr Pavel said Russians living abroad in Western countries should be closely monitored by security services due to Moscow's "aggressive war" in Ukraine. He compared the situation to World War II when Japanese descendants in the United States were placed in local internment camps. Pavel also expects the July NATO summit to voice clear support for Kyiv's membership of the alliance and believes a long-term plan of support for Ukraine will be agreed upon. The Czech Republic has provided substantial humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine and has received almost half a million war refugees from the country.
