"Iran's Foreign Minister Visits Lebanon, Urges Political Stability and Diplomatic Relations"

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian visited Lebanon's border with Israel and expressed support for Hezbollah in its struggle against Israel. He also expressed Tehran's readiness to help build power stations to end Lebanon's electricity crisis. The visit comes after Israel launched rare strikes into southern Lebanon earlier this month. Amirabdollahian's visit to Lebanon is the first since Iran and Saudi Arabia reached an agreement to re-establish diplomatic relations and reopen embassies after seven years of tensions. Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi will also begin a two-day visit to Damascus next Wednesday, the first by an Iranian president to the Syrian capital since 2010.
