Spate of Shootings at Indian Army Base Leaves Soldiers Dead and Questions Unanswered

Four army personnel were killed in a shooting incident at a military station in Bathinda city, Punjab. The shooters are still at large, and the base has been sealed off. The incident was not a terror attack, and took place in a canteen. The military station houses mostly families of soldiers and is a residential army base. A joint investigation with the local police is underway, and all aspects, including the possible involvement of an assault rifle, are being ascertained.
