Self-exiled Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui was sentenced in Manhattan to 30 years in prison after being convicted on nine of 12 counts for a multibillion-dollar fraud that duped investors across the world. Prosecutors said the scheme funded a lavish lifestyle, with victims losing hundreds of millions and Guo ordered to forfeit $889 million in restitution; Guo had associations with Steve Bannon and had attacked the Chinese government, arguing his actions against the CCP.
