Aperture Reopens on Upper West Side After Four-Year Renovation of Historic Landmark
Aperture, the nonprofit photography organization, officially opened its new headquarters and gallery at 380 Columbus Avenue on September 18, 2026. The move to the Upper West Side concludes a four-year renovation of a historic 1880s building, replacing its previous Chelsea location which had been closed since 2018. The 10,000-square-foot space features a public gallery, bookstore, and event area, designed to be accessible and free to the public.
