Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ is being re-released in September in a 4K remaster by Lionsgate and Fathom Entertainment, running Sept. 10–17 to set the stage for The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One, due in theaters May 2027. Paramount Pictures has released new details on the 4K remaster of James Cameron's "Titanic." The remastering process involved native 4K scans of the original camera negative and VFX footage, with new details added to enhance the shots. The film was remastered shot by shot to ensure every bit of detail is visible, while maintaining the organic grain and maximizing the 4K image quality. The upcoming 4K releases of Cameron's films "The Abyss," "True Lies," and "Aliens" are also expected to receive similar attention to detail.
