Mitsubishi's Eclipse Sportback EV Reuses Nissan Leaf Tech for an Affordable Electric Crossover
Mitsubishi has unveiled the Eclipse Sportback EV, an electric version of its Eclipse crossover built on Nissan Leaf architecture. It uses a 75 kWh battery and a 174 hp front motor, targeting an EPA range of up to 303 miles, and will go on sale in the next few weeks with early‑fall availability. The car will likely share the Leaf’s charging tech (NACS port) and is part of a Nissan–Mitsubishi alliance to share underpinnings while keeping Mitsubishi styling.
