Cyberattack halts Suisun City’s 911 system, triggering emergency declaration
A cyberattack on Suisun City’s IT network disrupted 911 routing, police and fire dispatch, and other municipal services. The city shut down its network to contain the threat, activated its Emergency Operations Center, and declared a state of emergency as the FBI, DHS, California OES and other agencies investigate. Officials say residents are not in immediate danger while investigators determine how the breach occurred and who is responsible.
