Maryland University has ended the tenure of head football coach Mike Locksley following a 2-5 start to the 2026 season. The decision follows a 37-30 loss to Rutgers and a 12-game losing streak in Big Ten play. Locksley, who served since 2018, finishes with a 39-54 record. Aazaar Abdul-Rahim will serve as interim head coach while the university begins a national search for a permanent replacement.
