US, Russia, and Ukraine Set for Abu Dhabi Peace Talks Amid Renewed Russian Strikes
The US, Russia, and Ukraine will resume peace talks in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11, aiming to restart a diplomatic process paused in February due to the Iran conflict. US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will lead the delegation, focusing on post-war security and de-escalation. However, prospects for a breakthrough are dimmed by Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and President Putin’s refusal to agree to a ceasefire, even as the US lifts some sanctions to encourage Moscow’s cooperation.
