Raiders snag McCoy in Round 4 after knee-surgery uncertainty from medical recheck
UT cornerback Jermod McCoy slipped from first-round projections after a medical recheck suggested he could need knee surgery. The Raiders traded up to draft him in the fourth round, hopeful he can contribute after missing time with an ACL tear. A report indicated he might require surgery to repair a bone plug used for a cartilage defect, which could sideline him for extensive periods in 2026, but McCoy says his doctors are confident and he’s willing to do whatever’s best for his career longevity.
