AcuRite shifts users to cloud-first NOW platform, retiring legacy My AcuRite app
AcuRite announced that the My AcuRite app will be retired on May 30 in favor of AcuRite NOW, a newer cloud-based platform designed for mobile-first use and better Weather Underground data sharing (via a subscription). Company VP Jeff Bovee says the old app’s underlying tech is obsolete and maintaining two apps isn’t sustainable, but customers complain NOW lacks several My AcuRite features and a new web dashboard is still in development.
