Papua New Guinea Park Worker Dies After Crocodile Attack During Feeding Demo
A wildlife handler in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, died on Sunday after being attacked by a crocodile during a feeding demonstration at Adventure Park on Saturday. The man, who had worked at the park for two years, was dragged into a pool and held in the reptile's jaws for over an hour before police shot the animal to free him. He was rushed to 3 Mile General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The park has closed indefinitely, and staff are gathering at a funeral home. Eyewitnesses described the handler in severe pain, unable to scream, while bystanders attempted to assist with a pole. The incident has raised questions about the safety of close-contact animal interactions at the facility.
